jai alai time! 5 gallon batch of a rough approximation of a jai alai clone, i’m only dry hopping in the keg and using 1oz simcoe cryo and 1oz regular T90s. I was originally going to just use the cryo, but after the last time I used cryo to make a zombie dust clone there wasn’t enough of that vegetal backbone and ended up just tasting like carbonated duck sauce 😂 clocking in at 6.9% it should hopefully be pretty crushable after fermenting at room temp with lutra! #kveik #beer #homebrew #homebrewing #kegging #closedtransfer #brewminaries

whew! a very long brew day, but a total success. 3.5 gallons of 1.106 imperial stout. 18 pounds of grain and decent efficiency for a water:grain ratio of 1.25lb/quart. had a little sparge, and I think it helped! three hours of boiling later and it’s in the fermenter. fermenting with voss at 75~ degrees. #imperialstout #homebrew #beer #homebrewing #kveik #brewminaries

exactly 24 bottles of sahti kegged! I didn’t get the best efficiency so it’s a little light on ABV, but still full in flavor. I’ll call it lunch sahti instead 😅 lots of cararye, munich and a touch of juniper, it’s dangerously crushable and insanely fresh! this is my first raw ale, I step mashed and over 5 hours and did a brief hold at 180 before cooling and fermenting with @omegayeast espe. served slightly chilled with only residual carbonation from a quick fermentation. i was dreading bottling but I forgot how easy it is with my blichmann beer gun along with the greatly increased counter space in our new apt. #sahti #kveik #homebrew #juniper #homebrewing #brewminaries
